In 1984, Nazzareno Pola founded Andreola in Valdobbiadene DOCG, marking the start of a generational journey. Today, Stefano Pola continues this legacy, recognizing the DOCG as a living entity shaped by nature and human effort.

Andreola excels at blending tradition and innovation, resulting in a unique wine style with a creamy palate, elegant aromas, and impeccable balance.

Elegance is paramount, with the DOCG line and minimalist Rive Line packaging showcasing their commitment since 2009.

They're expanding globally while maintaining their roots, venturing into foreign markets and collaborating with institutions like Monza Racetrack. The special Monza line, created in 2014, exemplifies their dedication to innovation and excellence.

Vineyard

The Col Del Forno vineyard, an approximately four-hectare natural amphitheatre, sits at an average elevation of 250 meters above sea level. It is situated at the eastern edge of the Rive di Refrontolo sub-zone within the Valdobbiadene DOCG region. Col del Forno wine, introduced in 2016 when the Pola family acquired the vineyard, quickly garnered numerous awards and has since become a flagship offering from Andreola.

In this picturesque hillside setting, surrounded by woods and adorned with vineyards, the soil comprises marl and clayey conglomerates formed by ancient Karst processes dating back over 100,000 years, pre-dating the last ice age that shaped these gently rolling hills. Despite slightly below-average annual rainfall, the soil's texture and depth ensure adequate water supply for the plants.

During the summer, temperatures are slightly higher than in the western zone, but significant temperature fluctuations produce grapes with elegant and intense aromas that ripen slightly ahead of the rest of the denomination.

Vinification

White soft pressing is followed by flotation and fermentation at controlled temperature. Thereafter the base wine matures in stainless steel for 6 months. “Prise de mousse” of 30-40 days follows according to the Charmat method in large, pressurized tanks. Harvest takes place in September-October. Vine density: 3,500 plants per hectare. Production per hectare: 13 tons.

Ageing

Andreola Valdobbiadene Col del Forno Brut is finally allowed to age in bottles for 1-3 months.

It exhibits a soft yellow hue with hints of green, featuring a gentle, creamy, and enduring effervescence. The fragrance carries traces of hawthorn blossoms and wisteria, accompanied by nuances of apples, peaches, and yellow citrus fruits. Overall, the aromas are robust, and the flavours are pleasingly harmonious. In the mouth, this sparkling wine exudes elegance, lushness, and a velvety texture, reflecting the aromatic depth characteristic of the predominantly clayey soil.
