About the Producer

Domìni Veneti represents the most authentic expression of a territory historically dedicated to vine-growing. The hills from Verona to Lake Garda and in Valpolicella are characterised by terracing and dry-stone walls made by employing construction methods of significant value, while being built in perfect harmony with the environment. The art of dry-stone construction has been recognised as a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2018.

The new IGT Verona wines from La Scuola nel Vigneto (The School in the Vineyard) collection: Corvina, Garganega and Rosato, are dedicated to biodiversity and the art of dry stone construction in the vineyards.

Domìni Veneti aims at promoting amongst the younger generations a keen interest and understanding of the Valpolicella vine-growing tradition, respect for the environment, as well as for values linked to creativity, solidarity and sustainability. The labels of the three wines represent some of the works selected from the Artistic Competition: The landscape of Valpolicella: peculiarities and particulars, organised as part of the social educational project La Scuola nel Vigneto.

Vineyard

Located on the hills of the Valpolicella Classica area. Altitude from 150 to 250 metres above sea level. Vineyard grassing. Soil type: very varied, from calcareous to clayey. Training system: one-sided pergola. Age of vines in production: 15 to 25 years. Average yield per hectare: 84 hl.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September-beginning of October. Soft pressing. Fermentation off-skins at a controlled temperature of 14-16 °C.

Ageing

Domini Veneti La Scuola nel Vigneto Rosato Veronese is stored in stainless steel tanks and then receives protein and tartrates stabilisation prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

Domini Veneti La Scuola nel Vigneto Rosato Veronese is a delicate pink. On the nose, fragrant with cherry and floral aromas. Crisp, fresh with hints of strawberry and raspberry with a light backdrop of minerality on the palate.
