About the Producer

Trapiche is located in Mendoza, Argentina, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. In over 130 years of production experience, Trapiche has become Argentina’s largest exported premium wine brand, exporting to more than 80 countries worldwide.

Trapiche represents “the richness of diversity” in Argentina. Throughout its history, it has understood like no other the strength of the viticulture in Argentina and has specialized in obtaining the best from every vineyard to create unique wines.

This diversity can be traced back to more than 1,000 hectares of its own vineyards as well as to grapes sourced from more than 200 independent producers in the best wine growing areas of Argentina.

In its wide and diverse portfolio, Trapiche offers a wine for occasion and every palate.

100% Argentinian Malbec

Selected parcels of grapes grown on the high area of the Mendoza River.

The grapes are picked by hand and undergo cold skin maceration. After the addition of selected yeasts, fermentation follows for about 15 days at controlled temperature (23°-26°C).

After malolactic fermentation, Trapiche Malbec is given subtle contact with oak wood, after which it gets stabilized, filtered and bottled. After a short rest in the bottle, it is released for consumption.

Tasting Notes

A rich, red-colored wine with violet hues, it blends notes of crushed wild berries, dark plums, herbs and cherries. Fresh in the mouth with intense flavours and a touch of truffle and vanilla.

13.5% alcohol vol.
