About the Producer

Vallebelbo was founded in 1956 by a group of about seventy grape growers. At the onset, only Moscato grapes were produced and made into wine. However, in the 70’s, the cellar was equipped with a second plant also suitable for the vinification of red grapes. During the 80’s, new state-of-the-art crushing and processing equipment allowed Vallebelbo to place itself at the forefront of Asti’s producing cellars. Thanks to the contribution of 230 members, Vallebelbo has now become the largest Italian cooperative for the production of Moscato DOCG and is actively marketing and distributing a wide range of Piedmontese wines throughout every continent of the world.

100% Brachetto

Vallebelbo’s vineyards are situated in the area bordering Cuneo and Asti, in the north-eastern part of the Langhe. Grapes are produced from over 600 hectares of land. The Brachetto vineyards are situated in the proximity of Acqui.

After the first fermentation on the skins, the wine undergoes a refermentation in tank under controlled conditions according to the Charmat method.

Brachetto Spuma is rested in bottle for a short period before being released for consumption.

Excellent as an aperitif or paired with fresh berries, plum tarts, and strawberry shortcake. This is one of the few wines that works extremely well with chocolate and it is a classic pairing with “Gianduia”, the popular sweet chocolate with hazelnut paste produced in the nearby city of Turin.

Serving temperature: 6-8°C.
