Lamberti Pinot Grigio is well developed on the nose with typical Pinot Grigio overtones of beeswax and wild honey blossom. Refreshingly crisp on the palate with a creamy, mineral texture and flavours fully reflective of the aromas.
Originating in 1964 at Lazise, on the banks of Lake Garda, the House of Lamberti was the first to propose a new, modern identity for the wines of Veneto and, in particular, those of Verona. Typical examples are Bardolino and Valpolicella, as well as Amarone. The white wines include Lugana, Soave and Custoza.
100% Pinot Grigio
Vineyards in Trentino and Veneto, on the hilly valley along the Adige river at 200m altitude. The training system is "pergola" (trellis), on well-exposed alluvial soil, with a solid skeleton and good drainage. The yield of grapes is 12 tonnes.
The grapes are picked towards the end of September and vinified off-skins after soft-pressing. The clean must, after cold settling, ferments at 16-18°C after the addition of selected yeast.
The new wine is refined in stainless steel tanks and then allowed to rest in the bottle for some time before being released.
Straw-yellow with copper hues. Attractive light floral notes with hints of beeswax, honey and citrus. The palate is well-structured, dry, elegant and fruity with balanced hints of peaches, crushed nuts, some classic melon oiliness and underlying minerality.
12% alcohol, 5.0 gr/l residual sugar, pH 3.25 , 5.5 gr/l total acidity.
Serve Lamberti Pinot Grigio with light appetisers, delicate first courses, salads, seafood and creamy cheeses.
Serving temperature: 10-12°C.
