100% Montepulciano D'Abruzzo
This wine is obtained from selected vineyards on the hills of various municipalities in several provinces (Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara and Teramo) in central Italy. The average yield is approximately 12 tons of grapes per hectare.
Well ripened grapes are vinified by the traditional red wine method, with maceration on the skins; fermentation takes place slowly, at a relatively low temperature to protect the varietal aromas.
After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is allowed to rest and age before being released for consumption.
It presents a purplish ruby red appearance and intense aromas redolent of plum jam and morello cherry. The round, dry palate shows a lingering, pleasant finish of dried fruit and roasted hazelnuts.
12.5% alcohol vol.
Particularly suitable to accompany pasta dishes, lamb, roast and grilled meats and ripe cheeses.
Serving temperature: 18°C.
Ready to drink, Montepulciano should be consumed within 3-4 years.
